It appears that the former Morocco coach, who is currently managing the Lekhwiya team in Qatar, has ruled out the possibility of taking over the coaching position at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Despite the vacancy created by Carlo Ancelotti’s departure to Real Madrid, the Belgian coach is committed to his current role in Qatar and has stated that he would decline an offer to coach PSG.
He emphasized that he made the right decision in signing with Qatar and mentioned the only downside being the low number of spectators. The coach also mentioned that, following his time in Marseille, he would never be able to coach PSG due to the history and emotions associated with certain clubs. Additionally, he expressed a reluctance to return to coaching in Belgium, unless it’s with Standard Liège, a club that holds significance for him. If that doesn’t happen, he even mentioned the possibility of being a supporter and taking a seat in the stands with a red and white jersey.
