Walid Salah El-Din backs Al Ahly to withstand pressure and give back to fans

Walid Salah El-Din believes Al Ahly carries the greatest weight of expectation in African football, and he is determined to help steer the club back to the top.

The football director spoke with conviction as he praised the support of president Mahmoud El Khatib and underlined the trust given to the technical staff led by Emad El-Nahhas.

“As a technical staff, we will spare no effort to please the millions of fans who have grown accustomed to cheering and supporting us,” Walid said.

He noted that El Khatib has offered complete confidence to the coaches and urged them to stay loyal, focused, and hardworking. With memories of his 22 years at the club, Walid admitted the pressure never fades because Al Ahly supporters demand nothing short of victory.

The football director pointed to the tough fixtures ahead but highlighted the resilience of El-Nahhas, who led the team to the league title under testing conditions last season.
