Sekhukhune United suspend Nigeria striker Chibuike Ohizu
South African Premier League outfit, Sekhukhune United have taken a drastic action against forward Chibuike Ohizu, suspending him from the team.
The 28-year-old Nigerian international is currently facing an uncertain future at Sekhukhune United despite having an existing contract with the team.
Since the commencement of the 2025/26 season, Ohizu has made four appearances in the South African Premier League. However, the forward has struggled to feature for the club in recent games.
According to reports, Sekhukhune United has suspended Ohizu from training with the team despite not disclosing reasons for his punishment. Meanwhile, the club is said to be considering transferring the attacker in the coming days.
With Ohizu facing an uncertain future, the club are closing in on 21-year-old midfielder Momelisi Dlambewu, with the club viewing him as part of their long-term plans.
Ohizu has been in the books of Sekhukhune United since 2020, establishing himself as a key member of the team. His current contract with the South Africa club is expected to elapse in summer 2027.
