The commencement of the training camp for the Egyptian U-23 national team, led by coach Rogério Micale, has been delayed by just 24 hours.
Originally scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 10, the camp will now kick off on the following Thursday, January 11.
The decision to postpone was explained by the Football Association to allow players to participate with their clubs in the first round of the Professional Clubs Association Cup.
The U-23 national team is set to gather for its upcoming camp in the administrative capital starting next Thursday until January 15 before departing for the United Arab Emirates.
Our Olympic team will partake in the international friendly tournament in Dubai, featuring Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Iraq.

Mahmoud Harb, the administrative manager of the U-23 national team, had previously stated that the Cairo camp would last for five days, catering to Micale’s preference.
Micale sees the administrative capital as an ideal and comprehensive environment, given the significant attention from the Egyptian government, represented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
This sentiment was affirmed by the coaching staff during their successful recent camp, which proved beneficial in various aspects.
The participation in the friendly tournament in Dubai is a part of Egypt’s U-23 team preparations for the upcoming Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
This decision is a strategic move to ensure the team’s readiness and cohesion on their journey to compete at the highest level on the global stage.
