France international of DR Congo descent Tanguy Ndombélé has been omitted from OGC Nice’s squad for the upcoming UEFA Europa League campaign.

The 28-year-old midfielder has struggled to settle since joining the club from Tottenham Hotspur due to a sports hernia issue.

Despite undergoing several surgeries, Ndombele has yet to gain full fitness, missing almost the entirety of the second half of the season.

He went from a peripheral figure to off the radar entirely. His last appearance in Ligue 1 dates back to the end of February.

Ahead of the Europa League campaign, manager Franck Haise has unveiled his squad excluding Ndombele since he is yet to gain fitness.

Meanwhile, Youssouf Ndayishimiye and Mohamed Abdelmonem, both of whom suffered ACL injuries at the end of last season, also miss out.

The 28-year-old midfielder’s current contract with Nice is expected to elapse in summer 2026.
