Al Ahly shape new path with temporary staff after Jose Riveiro exit

Al Ahly will step back onto the training ground on Thursday morning with fresh faces leading their sessions, as the club prepares for a league clash with Enppi on September 14.

The Red Devils are entering a new chapter after parting ways with Spanish coach José Ribeiro, whose journey ended following the 2-0 defeat to Pyramids FC.

In a bid to steady the ship, the club has reinstated the position of director of football, naming Walid Salah El Din, and entrusted Emad El Nahhas with guiding the team as temporary technical director. His appointment marks a return to a familiar figure, with hopes of restoring balance in the short term.

A club source told Kooora that Al Ahly have confirmed the interim technical staff: Emad El Nahhas as Technical Director, Adel Mustafa as General Coach, Mohamed Naguib as Assistant Coach, Amir Abdel Hamid as Goalkeeper Coach, and Mohamed El Shehi as Fitness Coach.

The club also secured approval from the Football Association for Abdel Hamid to combine his duties, supporting both Al Ahly and Egypt’s U-15 team for the next month.
