Emmanuel Maboang Kessack, a former Indomitable Lion and a member of the Regroupement des footballeurs du Cameroun, shared his perspective on the sidelining of Jean-Paul Akono as the coach of the national team. During an appearance on the program Radio foot international on Radio France Internationale (Rfi), Kessack claimed that the decision to call for new coaching applications was due to Akono’s failure to fulfill the mission of qualifying the team for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in one match and his alleged deviation from the goal of rejuvenating the team.
Kessack also expressed his concerns about the potential recruitment of Raymond Domenech and suggested that having both Domenech and Samuel Eto’o in the locker room might not be easy, implying potential conflicts.
It’s important to note that opinions on these matters may vary, and different stakeholders may have differing perspectives on the decisions made within the Cameroonian football scene.
