Mohamed Salah is on the verge of writing another chapter in Premier League history when Liverpool visit Newcastle United on Monday night at St James Park.
The Egyptian forward, already a legend at Anfield, needs just one goal to move into fourth place on the league’s all-time scorers list. He currently sits level with Andy Cole on 187 goals.
The record remains held by Alan Shearer with 260 goals, followed by Harry Kane on 213 and Wayne Rooney with 208. Salah, however, is edging closer to cementing his place among the greats, a feat that reflects both his consistency and influence since joining Liverpool.
Newcastle has been one of Salah’s favorite opponents. He has been directly involved in 18 Premier League goals against the Magpies, with 10 goals and 8 assists. Notably, Salah has assisted in each of Liverpool’s last six meetings with Newcastle, the only player in league history to manage such a streak against a single team.
In Liverpool’s last 15 league goals against Newcastle, Salah has had a hand in 11, scoring four and assisting seven.
