According to the Ivorian site imatin.net, Koné Cheick Oumar, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Africa Sport in Abidjan, has been removed from his position following a board meeting held on Friday at the office of Me Cheickna Sylla in Plateau.
During the meeting, Vagba Alexis was elected to lead the Green and Red, receiving the support of seven members of the council.
Africa Sport has been experiencing a challenging period in the championship, exacerbated by player dissatisfaction with delayed salary payments. The team’s poor performance may have contributed to the decision to make changes in leadership.
It’s noted that some members of the council, including Koné Cheick Oumar (former PCA), Blé Guirao, Kacou Bi, and Gooré Sylvanus, did not attend the meeting. The change in leadership suggests an attempt to address the issues the club is currently facing.
