Bayern Munich hoping to sign Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea on loan
German champions Bayern Munich want to sign Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson on loan from Chelsea this summer.
The Bundesliga outfit has been keeping tabs on the attacker for a while and believes he will be a good addition to improve their attacking options.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Bayern face competition from Aston Villa and Newcastle, who are also interested in the 23-year-old striker.
Earlier in the summer, Chelsea set an asking price of £80 million (€92.5 million) for Jackson. With the transfer window nearing its close, potential suitors are hopeful the Blues will either lower their valuation or agree to a loan arrangement.
Chelsea, however, are reluctant to loan Jackson to a Premier League rival unless an obligation to buy is included, an advantage that could work in Bayern’s favour.
What makes a potential move complicated is that Nicolas Jackson may not want to join Bayern Munich only to sit on the bench as a second option to lethal striker Harry Kane.
