Aaron Wan-Bissaka joins DR Congo squad for September World Cup qualifiers

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has taken another step in his international journey after being named in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s squad for September’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The 27-year-old defender will be hoping to make an impact in what will be his second call-up to the senior team, following his first earlier this year in May. The Leopards will begin their campaign against South Sudan on September 5, an away fixture that could hand Wan-Bissaka a chance to impress. Three days later, they face a tough test against African giants Senegal, a match that will demand composure and quality.
