AFC Bournemouth have confirmed the acquisition of Morocco international Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen for a reported fee of $32.5 million.
The 25-year-old winger has signed a five-year contract, becoming the Cherries’ seventh signing of the summer.
He is set to join Andoni Iraola’s squad ahead of their Premier League clash with Wolves this weekend.
Adli arrives following a standout 2023-24 campaign at Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso, during which the German side captured both the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles without losing a domestic match.
He contributed nine goals across 29 appearances in these competitions and finished as the German Cup’s top scorer.
Over his three-year spell in Germany, Adli featured 143 times for Leverkusen, recording 10 goals and 12 assists, while also gaining valuable experience in the Champions League and helping the team reach last season’s Europa League final.
Prior to his move to Germany in 2021, Adli developed through the ranks at Toulouse, earning Ligue 2’s Player of the Season award in 2020-21.
At Leverkusen, he often played a rotational role behind stars such as Florian Wirtz and Nathan Tella, but the title-winning campaign afforded him extended opportunities to showcase his talent.
Now entering his prime years at 25, Adli is expected to bring European experience and versatility to Bournemouth, while retaining significant potential for further growth.
