The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have decided to conduct their training camp for the World Cup qualifiers in Accra, Ghana. Originally planned for Cotonou in Benin, the advanced mission reported that Cotonou did not meet the required conditions for a favorable stay. After considering two other cities, it has been decided that the team will establish its training headquarters in Accra, Ghana.
This decision is aimed at providing a favorable environment for the team as they prepare for the crucial World Cup qualifiers. The Lions will travel from Accra to face Togo on June 9 in Lomé and then meet the Leopards of DR Congo on June 16. These matches are crucial for Cameroon as they aim to secure a spot in the final phase of the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.
Additionally, the search for a successor to the current coach, Jean Paul Akono, is already underway, marking a new phase for the team.
