Al Ahly, the winner of the 2013 CAF Super Cup, has been suspended by CAF for four African club competition matches due to the excessive use of smoke bombs by supporters. As a result, the club will play its next four matches behind closed doors. In addition, Al Ahly has been fined $40,000 USD, with $20,000 USD of the fine suspended. The suspension means that the club will have to play without the support of its fans in the upcoming matches.
