The relationship between Saint-Etienne and its supporters appears to be strained after a 0-0 draw against Bordeaux, following the team’s victory in the League Cup two weeks ago. Some supporters reportedly went on strike in response to the closing of block 34 of the Henri-Point stand by the club’s leaders due to incidents at the Stade de France and during the Lyon derby. Christophe Galtier, the Saint-Etienne coach, expressed dissatisfaction, stating that the closing of the grandstand is not his problem and that the players deserve more support in their pursuit of the third-place objective. The coach called for unity and emphasized the need to overcome the challenges faced by the team.
