Women’s football in Ivory Coast will take center stage on May 10, featuring the semi-finals of the Confederation Cup. The top four teams in the country will compete, with Juventus de Yopougon facing Onze Soeurs de Gagnoa, and Omness de Dabou playing against Lahou Essor Football Club for a spot in the final. As a prelude to the matches, a caravan is planned through the streets of Treichville, organized by Berthe Adou, the president of the Women’s Football Commission. The caravan aims to promote women’s football and will involve a parade from the FIF headquarters to the Sports Park, accompanied by a festive atmosphere and a fanfare. The women’s football season in 2013 will kick off with 10 teams in a single pool, with Juventus de Yopougon currently holding the reigning champion title.
