**Serge Aurier Defends PSG After 0-0 Draw With Real Madrid**
Before PSG’s Ligue 1 clash with Rennes, **Serge Aurier** spoke to France TV about the Champions League draw against **Real Madrid**, expressing frustration over the criticism his team received.
“Frankly, in France, I don’t understand. In other countries, they’re behind their teams completely and praise their clubs, even if the performance is average. We took a lot of flak from most of the articles. That’s the mentality in this country… We didn’t face a Sunday morning team. It was Real Madrid! They’re the best in the world, along with Bayern and Barça. Drawing 0-0 against that team is nothing to be ashamed of. People might have expected us to win 2 or 3-0. Let’s stop the madness!” Aurier said.
He added that while PSG lacked some luck, the opposition was outstanding, and the match was close because both teams played cautiously. Aurier emphasized that PSG should be judged during the **knockout stages** in the spring, with the main goal being to reach the **Champions League semi-finals**.
PSG will now face **Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu** next week, where performance and results will be even more closely scrutinized.
