**Samuel Eto’o: “I’m Not Interested in Football Administration”**
Cameroonian striker **Samuel Eto’o** spoke candidly to *Jeune Afrique* during a fundraising event for victims of Boko Haram, organized in partnership with **Oxfam** and the **UNHCR**. On the subject of football governance, Eto’o revealed he has no plans to get involved:
*”I tried to get involved in the running of the Cameroonian football federation a few years ago. It was difficult and didn’t work. I don’t want to do it anymore, neither at the level of my country nor beyond,”* he said.
However, Eto’o expressed support for **Issa Hayatou**, recently appointed interim president of FIFA following **Sepp Blatter’s suspension**:
*”I’m glad that an African is holding this position of responsibility. Who would have thought it? Beyond that, I don’t have any particular reaction. I hope this will allow other Africans to see that these summits are accessible.”*
