**Miloud Hamdi Aims for History with USM Alger in CAF Champions League Final**
In just **98 days** at the helm, **Miloud Hamdi** has guided **USM Alger** to their **first-ever CAF Champions League final**. This marks Hamdi’s debut as a head coach, having previously worked as an assistant and youth manager. USM Alger will host **TP Mazembe** this Saturday for the **first leg of Africa’s premier club competition**, with Hamdi eager to make history for the Red and Black of Algiers.
Hamdi aspires to join **ES Setif coach Kheireddine Madoui** by becoming the second Algerian to win the **CAF Champions League** and compete in the **FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2015**.
With just two days until kickoff, tensions are high, but Hamdi is focused on keeping his squad calm.
> “We mustn’t be under pressure. It’s pointless to play under pressure. It risks making people do stupid things on the pitch, when it’s not the right time at all; we’re expected by thousands of our supporters, we mustn’t have any regrets, we’re going to give everything on the pitch and do our best to win this cup,” he said.
> “I have confidence in my players and I’m sure they’ll be there. It would be unfair if they didn’t lift the trophy after such a run. USMA is only 180 minutes away from a historic feat. We will represent all of Algeria and the entire Maghreb. We will do everything possible to ensure this trophy remains Algerian.”
