2018 World Cup: Tanzania Already Focused on Algeria

**Tanzania to Face Algeria in World Cup Qualifiers After Malawi Defeat**

Tanzania have secured a place in the next round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers despite suffering a 1-0 defeat to Malawi in the second leg of their first-round tie. The Taifa Stars progressed thanks to their 2-0 victory in the first leg, advancing on aggregate.

The East African side now face a formidable challenge against Algeria, one of the continent’s strongest teams. The Fennecs, however, appear unfazed by the prospect of meeting Tanzania.

Head coach Charles Boniface Mkwasa, who took charge earlier this year following the departure of Dutchman Mart Nooij, expressed both relief and determination after his side’s progression.

> “We thank God for allowing us to continue our journey, even though we did not score,” Mkwasa said. “We will work on our small shortcomings in Dar es Salaam and start preparing for the match against Algeria.”

The first leg will be played at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, 14 November. The return fixture will take place in Algeria three days later, on Tuesday, 17 November.

If you like, I can also expand this with context on both teams’ recent form and previous World Cup qualification history to give it more depth.
