**Kodjovi Obilalé: Rebuilding Life After Tragedy**
Kodjovi Obilalé, Togo’s national team goalkeeper, was seriously wounded in the 2010 attack by FLEC rebels on the team’s bus en route to the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola. The attack claimed the lives of journalist Stan Ocloo and assistant coach Abalo Amélété. Obilalé was shot twice in the back and spent several months hospitalized in South Africa and France.
Although he survived, the former Pontivy goalkeeper now suffers from severe muscle dysfunction and can no longer play professional football. To share his incredible journey, Obilalé is releasing his biography, *A Destiny Struck by Thunder*, published on October 7 in France by Talents Sport.
