**Al Ahly Reach Egypt Cup Final for First Time Since 2010**
Al Ahly booked their place in the Egypt Cup final on Wednesday night with a 3-1 victory over Petrojet, keeping alive their hopes of ending the season with silverware after missing out on the league title.
The semi-final at Cairo Stadium did not start well for the record champions. Petrojet took an early lead when Mohamed Ragab found the net in the 15th minute, silencing much of the home crowd.
However, Al Ahly responded before half-time, with young star Ramadan Sobhy levelling the score to restore belief in the stands.
After the interval, the Cairo giants asserted control. Hussein El-Sayed put them ahead with a composed finish, before veteran Ahmed Fathi sealed the win, extinguishing Petrojet’s hopes of a comeback.
The victory marks Al Ahly’s first appearance in the Egypt Cup final since 2010, and they will now aim to add the domestic cup to their illustrious collection of honours.
