Senegal star Nicolas Jackson eager to depart Chelsea

Senegal international Nicolas Jackson is eager to leave Premier League giants Chelsea before the start of the 2025/26 football campaign.

Jackson look set to depart Chelsea after being dropped from their squad for preseason friendly clash against Bayer Leverkusen despite not carrying any injury.

Having attracted interested from Bayern Munich and other top clubs in Europe, Jackson will hope to complete a move before the window is shut.

The 24-year-old joined Chelsea in 2023 from Spanish side Villarreal for an impressive €37 million. Since joining the Blues, Jackson has played 81 matches, scoring 30 goals and providing 12 assists.

Last season, the attacker made 37 appearances but found the net just 13 times, raising questions about his future with the club.

The former Villarreal attacker risk losing his position at the club following the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are holding on to about 80 million pounds for the transfer of the Senegal international.
