Lesley Ugochukwu has made a big step in his career by signing permanently with Burnley.
The young French midfielder’s move reportedly cost over £20 million, marking a significant investment for the Premier League club.
Ugochukwu began his journey in football at Rennes, joining their youth system when he was just eight years old. He quickly rose through the ranks and made his senior debut shortly after turning 17. His early Ligue 1 appearances included an impressive game against Paris Saint-Germain, where he held his own against top players like Neymar.
In 2023, Ugochukwu transferred to Chelsea, featuring 15 times during his first season and representing France at the Paris Olympics. He then spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Southampton, playing 31 matches and scoring once.
Now at Burnley, Ugochukwu looks set to further develop his talent and make a strong impact in England’s top flight, continuing his journey from a promising youth star to a Premier League regular.
