Orlando Pirates legend Albert Malangu backs club to succeed next season

Orlando Pirates legend Albert Malangu is eyeing an outstanding performance in the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.

The Soweto giants finished last season in second place and delivered an impressive overall performance at the end of the campaign.

Assessing the club’s chances ahead of the new campaign, Albert Malangu affirmed Pirates will be outstanding.

“I’m really excited. If it were up to me, the season would start right now because I think the Pirates are going to be outstanding. Looking at the team’s performance last season—they did a fantastic job. We reached the CAF Champions League semifinals, finished just behind Sundowns in the league, and made it to two domestic finals,” Malangu said.

Considering recent acquisition, the legendary player insisted Pirates has what it takes to compete for laurels next season.

Orlando Pirates are gearing up for the new campaign. The club recently returned from a preseason training tour in Spain.
