Marwan Hamdy has officially joined Pyramids FC’s pre-season training camp in Izmit, Turkey, after missing the initial departure due to a head injury.

The striker was sidelined following a training ground clash with teammate Abdelrahman Gouda. Both players were diagnosed with mild concussions after undergoing thorough medical tests and x-rays. They were placed under a six-day rest period, following concussion protocols.

Dr. Mostafa El-Moniri, head of the club’s medical staff, confirmed, “After Marawan Hamdi’s condition improved and he underwent new x-rays that proved he was fine, he arrived in Türkiye and joined the camp normally.”

Abdelrahman Gouda, however, remains in Cairo to continue his recovery and will rejoin full training upon the team’s return.

Pyramids FC are preparing for the upcoming season with a series of friendlies. Sporting director Hany Said announced a high-profile clash with Turkish club Kasimpasa this Saturday, following a 2-2 draw against Bandırma Spor.

The squad will move to Istanbul Friday for their final training ahead of the match, before returning to Izmit to finish their camp.

A third friendly is also being arranged.
