After nearly a decade of glory with Al Ahly, veteran midfielder Amr El Solia is starting a fresh chapter with Ceramica Cleopatra.
The 35-year-old has officially signed a two-year deal with the club, who confirmed the move on Wednesday. El Solia joins a side that has lifted the Egyptian Capital Cup in each of the last three seasons and continues to strengthen its squad with experience and leadership.
Having risen through the youth ranks of Ismaily before earning a first-team spot in 2009, El Solia’s career has seen steady growth. He had a brief spell in the UAE with Al-Shaab in 2015 before returning home to join Al Ahly in January 2016, a decision that defined his legacy.
With Al Ahly, El Solia collected an impressive trophy haul that includes four CAF Champions League titles, eight Egyptian Premier League crowns, four Egypt Cups, and five Egyptian Super Cups.
He’s also been a reliable name for Egypt’s national team, earning 50 caps and representing the Pharaohs at the 2021 AFCON and Arab Cup.
