Zouhair Feddal Joins Levante on a Three-Year Deal
Levante UD has officially secured the services of Zouhair Feddal, the Moroccan international defender, on a three-year contract. The 28-year-old center-back, who previously played for Palermo and Parma, arrived in Spain last Saturday and successfully underwent a medical on Sunday at the Ciudad Deportiva de Buñol.
Feddal, who has earned nine caps for the Atlas Lions, will team up with fellow Moroccan Nabil El Zhar at the club. Despite not participating in professional preseason training due to his free-agent status after leaving Parma, Feddal assured the media during his official presentation that he has kept himself in top condition.
“I have advantageous genetics, I’m African,” Feddal stated confidently. “I trained on my own. It wasn’t easy doing that individually when others are working with their clubs, but I gave everything to stay fit. I think I just need a few days to get to the team’s level.”
The versatile defender also shared insights about his preferred role on the pitch:
“I can adapt to several defensive systems — whether it’s a back three, four, or five — but my favorite position is central defense. Still, I’m at the coach’s disposal. If he wants me to play as a goalkeeper, I’ll do it,” he joked.
Feddal arrives at Levante on a free transfer and brings with him valuable experience from Serie A, where he also featured for Siena and Palermo. His addition is expected to strengthen Levante’s backline as they prepare for the new campaign.
