Moroccan striker Walid Cheddira is reportedly set to leave SSC Napoli this summer.

Cheddira, who recently returned from an underwhelming loan spell at Spanish side Espanyol where he managed just one goal in 23 appearances has been deemed surplus to requirements under Napoli boss Antonio Conte.

Despite receiving attractive offers from abroad, including a lucrative deal from Greek side PAOK Thessaloniki that includes a €1.5 million annual salary, Cheddira is reportedly keen on staying in Serie A.

His preference has kept a potential move to Greece on hold.

Cagliari has already tabled an official offer, while Lecce and Monza are closely monitoring his situation.

Meanwhile, Cremonese is exploring a loan deal, although Napoli are prioritizing a permanent transfer.

The forward’s market value is currently estimated between €2.5 million and €3 million.

With Napoli eager to offload the striker and several Serie A clubs in the mix, Cheddira’s future is expected to be decided in the coming weeks.

The 27-year-old is likely to move to Cagliari.
