Nigeria star Victor Osimhen nears Galatasaray switch

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen is nearing a move to Galatasaray from Napoli ahead of the upcoming 2025-2026 football campaign.

Osimhen is departing Serie A champions Napoli on a permanent deal ahead of the commencement of the 2025.26 football campaign.

The 26-year-old forward spent last season on loan at Turkish club, appearing in 41 matches across all competitions, scoring 37 goals and providing 8 assists.

Osimhen, who turned down several offers from Al Hilal including an annual salary of €50 million is now close to joining Galatasaray on a permanent deal.

With both parties reaching agreement, the highly-rated attacker is expected to seal a move to Galatasaray in the coming days.

The Turkish giants will cough €75 million in installment for the acquisition of Osimhen from Napoli.

Galatasaray will initially pay €40 million, before settling the remaining €35 million over the next year. Meanwhile, Napoli have included a 10% sell-on clause on future profit as well as €5m add-ons based on goals.

Additionally, a clause has been included in the deal to prevent Galatasaray from selling Osimhen to Italian clubs in the next two years.
