South African forward Kobamelo Kodisang set for Mamelodi Sundowns departure
South African international Kobamelo Kodisang is on the verge of leaving Mamelodi Sundowns in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The South African powerhouse is said to have reached an agreement with an unnamed Portuguese club for the transfer of the attacker.
Kodisang will join the Portugal’s top division for the 2025/26 season on loan as he seeks for regular playing time.
The 25-year-old is not in the plans of Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso, prompting the imminent transfer of the South African forward.
This move marks another European adventure for the forward, who previously gained experience playing with youth squads on the continent.
To recap, the 25-year-old South African joined Sundowns just a year ago but was unable to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup. Last season, he made only seven appearances, recording two goals and two assists.
