Neom SC have set their sights on securing the services of France international of DR Congo descent Alex Disasi this summer.
The 27-year-old centre-back, who plies his trade for Premier League giants Chelsea has emerged as a priority target for the newly promoted Saudi Pro League outfit.
Neom SC are executing an aggressive recruitment effort this summer in an attempt to make a meaningful impact in the upcoming 2025/26. However, Disasi, who has struggled for playing time at Chelsea has popped up on the radar of Neom SC.
Disasi has been declared surplus to requirements by Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge and is set to leave the Blues.
Neom SC is the latest club to show an interest in signing the French-Congolese. Disasi has attracted interest from several clubs over a potential move, including Newcastle United and Villarreal.
The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. The Birmingham outfit decided at the end of his loan to not make the Chelsea defender’s stay at Villa Park a permanent one.
Despite the Saudi club’s interest in signing the defender, negotiations between the Premier League club and Neom have not yet taken place.
The former Monaco centre-back would represent another addition to an already ambitious recruitment drive from the Saudi Pro League newcomers, with 4 signings already confirmed, in addition to the appointment of Christophe Galtier.
