Goalless draw settles Al Gouna vs. Ismaily match in Egyptian League

Egyptian Premier League side Ismaily SC has moved swiftly to clarify confusion surrounding a reported three-window registration ban listed on FIFA’s official website.

The club insists the suspension was a mistake and says the matter is still under review.

In a detailed statement, Ismaily revealed that they have reached out to both FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to correct the error, stressing that no final ruling has been issued on the ongoing case.

“Regarding the suspension of registration pending payment, one of the two cases concerns the case of the duo Mohamed Ben Khamassa and Jean Morel. Contact has been made with them, and the club is on its way to paying the dues after reaching a final settlement with them and lifting the ban imposed on the club because of them.”

The club added that a disciplinary ban initially covering two transfer windows has already been reduced to one, allowing Ismaily to resume signing players in January.

They assured supporters that no points deduction is expected and urged fans to disregard unfounded claims, emphasizing their ongoing efforts to close all remaining cases.
