Moroccan football giant Raja Club Athletic has secured the services of goalkeeper Khalid Akber Alaoui ahead of the upcoming season, signing him on a three-year contract.
Alaoui, who previously guarded the posts for Olympic Safi, joins Raja as part of the club’s strategic push to bolster their squad with talented and impactful players.
In an official statement, the club highlighted that the signing fits their vision to strengthen the first team and drive competitive success.
“We are pleased to welcome Khalid Akber to Raja Club Athletic and look forward to his contributions on the pitch. We wish him a fruitful career filled with commitment and notable achievements,” the club said.
Alaoui was instrumental in Olympic Safi’s historic capture of the Moroccan Throne Cup last season.
Over 26 league matches, he amassed 2,340 minutes of play, recording 10 clean sheets — a testament to his reliability between the sticks.
His professional career began with MAS Fez, followed by a loan spell at Raja Beni Mellal.
Subsequent moves saw him join Chabab Soualem before making the switch to Olympic Safi in July 2022. Now, he embarks on a new chapter with one of Morocco’s most prestigious clubs.
