Congolese striker Samuel Ntanda-Lukisa attracts Anderlecht interest amid ongoing transfer talks

Samuel Ntanda-Lukisa is at the centre of growing transfer speculation after reports emerged linking the Congolese forward with a move to Belgian giants Anderlecht.

While discussions are indeed underway, sources close to the 20-year-old have stressed that no agreement has been finalised.

Currently training with Sampdoria ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, Ntanda-Lukisa, a product of the Italian club’s youth academy, has impressed both domestically and on the international stage.

His performances at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations raised his profile significantly, drawing attention from clubs across Europe during this summer’s transfer window.

In response to mounting speculation, a member of Ntanda-Lukisa’s inner circle has confirmed that Anderlecht have approached Sampdoria to open talks.

“Earlier this week, Anderlecht contacted Sampdoria to sign Samuel,” the source told Africafoot. “We are still in the discussion stage. No agreement has been reached yet, particularly regarding the duration of the contract and other key conditions.”

While acknowledging the Belgian side’s interest, the source emphasised that the player’s camp is seeking clarity on Anderlecht’s sporting vision for Ntanda-Lukisa. “Samuel is a young player who has already proven his worth.

We are working to ensure that wherever he goes, it is with a first-team role in mind. At this point, Anderlecht have not yet outlined their exact intentions, and we need that clarity before moving forward.”

Sampdoria, for their part, appear reluctant to part with the talented forward. The same source confirmed that the Italian club has expressed a desire to retain the player and potentially offer him a new contract.

“His current club wants to keep him. Sampdoria recognises Samuel’s value, and if he remains, he will be part of the first-team squad this season,” they added.

This uncertainty has opened the door for other clubs to express interest. According to reports, Belgian side Charleroi had previously made contact with the player’s representatives, and additional enquiries have come in from teams in Spain, Germany, and France.

These developments underscore Ntanda-Lukisa’s rising stock across European football and the strategic importance of his next move.

While Anderlecht are reportedly in an advanced position, the negotiations remain fluid. The outcome will likely depend on whether the Belgian club can meet both the financial and sporting expectations set by the player’s camp and Sampdoria.

For now, Ntanda-Lukisa continues to train in Italy, preparing for the new season with his current club. However, with multiple suitors monitoring the situation and talks ongoing, a transfer before the end of the window remains a strong possibility.

As discussions progress, all eyes will be on whether Anderlecht can finalise terms and secure a deal for one of Congo’s most promising young forwards—or whether the talented striker will choose to continue his development in Serie B or pursue an alternative opportunity elsewhere in Europe.
