Leeds United eye move to sign Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche
Leeds United are interested in signing Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche this summer.
It is understood that the English club has already contacted Spanish La Liga outfit Getafe to express interest in the player.
Uche is among several players Leeds have been monitoring as part of their summer recruitment strategy.
While no official bid has been submitted yet, Leeds reportedly made enquiries about the midfielder’s availability several weeks ago.
Getafe insiders speaking on condition of anonymity confirmed that Uche has a €25 million release clause and is open to a Premier League switch.
Uche’s dynamic midfield performances have caught the attention of several scouts, and Leeds appear keen to make him part of their plans for the upcoming top-flight campaign.
The Nigerian midfielder is understood to be open to a move this summer, but will not force his way out of the club.
