OFFICIAL: Fakhreddine Ben Youssef Returns to Tunisia, Signs with Espérance de Tunis
As anticipated for several weeks, Fakhreddine Ben Youssef has officially returned to Tunisian football, signing with Espérance de Tunis. After a disappointing six-month spell at FC Metz marred by injury, the Tunisian international striker is back in familiar territory, joining the Sang et Or on a three-year deal.
The former CS Sfaxien forward moves from France for a reported fee just shy of two million euros. Espérance, under the guidance of coach José Anigo, sees Ben Youssef as a crucial addition to their attacking options.
To be eligible for the CAF Confederation Cup, “El Rouge” must now be officially registered in Espérance’s African squad list.
Ben Youssef’s return could provide the firepower Espérance needs as they aim for continental glory.
