The race for the Golden Boot award at the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) is heating up ahead of the quarter-finals.
After exciting action in the group stage, the eight remaining national teams are geared up to battle in the quarter-finals for a place in the semis.
While the national teams have their eyes on the main prize, players are also gunning for the various individual accolades.
In the race for the top scorer’s award, Moroccan star Ghizlane Chebbak is leading the chart with four goals.
She is joined at the top by Senegal’s talisman Nguenar Ndiaye. One of the stars of the tournament, Barbara Banda, follows in third on the chart after scoring three crucial goals for Zambia.
