Egyptian giants Al Ahly announce re-signing of defender Mohamed Shoukry ahead of new season

Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly have announced the re-signing of defender Mohamed Shoukry ahead of the 2025/26 football campaign.

Shoukry joins the record CAF Champions League holders from fellow Egyptian club Ceramica Cleopatra and is expected to play a huge role for the club.

The enterprising left-back penned a five-year-old deal to make a sensational return to the Egyptian giants in the ongoing summer transfer window.

“We are delighted to announce the signing of Mohamed Shoukry from Ceramica Cleopatra. Shoukry has signed a five-year contract with Al Ahly and he is ready to write a new chapter with the club where his journey started. Welcome home, Shoukry” wrote the club.

Having made a return to the club, Shoukry is expected to play a huge role for Al Ahly in the upcoming football campaign. Meanwhile, the defedner is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Tunisian star Ali Maaloul, who made a huge impact at the club.

Al Ahly are keen on bolstering their squad as they seek to make a meaningful impact in the 2025/26 season.
