I will fight for the badge – Belgian defender Henri Stanic assures Stellenbosch fans after move
Belgian defender Henri Stanic has pledged to give his all at Stellenbosch following the completion of his move this summer.
The 22-year-old joins the Stellies on a permanent deal following an impressive season with Balzan FC. He marshalled the defense of the club in the recently concluded season, scoring five goals in 28 appearances.
With his wealth of experience, he is expected to contribute significantly towards the success of club in the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
“I am very grateful and excited to be here. The team has already welcomed me warmly, and I’m looking forward to the upcoming season. The Stellenbosch Football Club project is what attracted me to South Africa. I spoke with several people at the club, and I really like the project they are working on now. I’m also eager to play in the domestic league. I’ll fight for this badge and give one hundred percent to the team. I’m still young, and I have ambitions I hope to achieve with the club.” said Henri Stanic.
Stanic, who started his career in the renowned development structures of Anderlecht, also previously enjoyed spells in Norway and Latvia, but is looking forward to making his mark on the African continent.
