We have not reached agreement to sign Percy Tau – Zamalek

Reports have emerged that Percy Tau’s name has been submitted to the leadership of Zamalek SC, but no agreement has been reached.

The South African attacker is currently unattached after leaving Qatar SC at the end of last season and has since been linked to several clubs ahead of the new football season.

With preparations for the 2025/26 season now underway in Egypt, fresh details have surfaced regarding the Zamalek–Tau situation.

“Percy Tau’s name was presented to Zamalek as an option, but we have not reached an agreement with him or decided to sign him,” a source told Egyptian sports outlet Btolat.

“Foreign signings are being assessed very carefully, especially since any new foreign arrival would mean one of the current foreign players must leave, as the club already has four foreign players.

“There is also the matter of the Cheikhou Bamba signing.”
