Dalian Pro in the Chinese first division championship, Central African striker César Lobi Manzoki is poised to bid farewell to the league as his contract concludes with the Chinese team.
The prolific forward, hailing from Bunia in the Democratic Republic of Congo, has been engaged in negotiations for his transition to the UAE Pro League for the past few weeks.
According to credible sources close to the player, Manzoki is expected to finalize an agreement with Hatta SC, currently positioned penultimate in the Emirati championship, in exchange for a substantial salary increment.
In an effort to rejuvenate his career and contribute to Hatta SC’s aspirations, Manzoki is anticipated to pen an 18-month contract, inclusive of an option for extension, contingent upon the club’s maintenance of its first-division status by the season’s end.
Having previously showcased his talent with AS Vita Club and Vipers FC in Uganda, the Congolese striker, boasting six international caps with the Fauves de la RCA, delivered an impressive performance in the Chinese Super League last season, registering eight goals.
Regrettably, his contributions proved inadequate to stave off his club’s relegation to League One.
With a market value estimated at €450,000 according to Transfermarkt, Manzoki, who attracted interest from Belgian clubs, is poised to embark on a new chapter in his football journey within the Gulf region.
The move to Hatta SC presents an opportunity for the seasoned striker to bring his skill set to a different football landscape and contribute significantly to his new club’s objectives.
