Champions League qualification a dream come true - Ghana and Union Saint-Gilloise winger Mohammed Fuseini

Union Saint-Gilloise forward Mohammed Fuseini has described qualifying for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League as a dream realized.

The Belgian club’s first league title in 90 years secured their automatic entry into Europe’s most prestigious club competition.

“This is like one of my dreams to come true,” Fuseini told Flashscore.

“Even though I’ve played in the Champions League before but it was just the qualification stage. And me getting to play in the real Champions League, that means a lot to me.”

The striker’s excitement was palpable as he looked ahead to face some of football’s giants.

“I’m looking forward to playing against big teams like Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool and other big clubs. It will be a great experience for me.”

Despite Union’s smaller stature compared to Europe’s traditional powerhouses, Fuseini remains confident in the team’s prospects.

“I think we should be able to go past the group phase because we have a good squad and then a good coach. I think everything is possible.”

Under the guidance of coach Sebastien Pocognoli, Fuseini has contributed nine goals in 33 appearances this season.
