Zlatan Ibrahimovic Admits Barcelona Deserved Champions League Victory Over PSG
Paris Saint-Germain‘s Champions League journey came to an end on Tuesday as they were defeated 2-0 by FC Barcelona in the second leg of their quarter-final tie. With a 3-1 loss in the first leg at the Parc des Princes, PSG were eliminated with an aggregate score of 5-1.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Parisian striker, acknowledged Barcelona’s superiority in the tie. Reflecting on the match, he told L’Equipe: “We have to be realistic, they were better than us. They’re the best team and they deserved to win. They’ll probably win this Champions League.”
Ibrahimovic went on to underline that despite their best efforts, PSG were ultimately outclassed by a “superb” Barcelona side. “As far as we’re concerned, it’s not possible to achieve this goal in such a short time. We’ve taken several big steps and were eliminated by a superb team. There’s no point in lying or covering up the truth. It’s just the reality.”
Barcelona’s dominance over the two legs was undeniable, as they advanced to the next round, leaving PSG with a challenging but important road ahead in their pursuit of European glory.
