Tiémoué Bakayoko to Miss Monaco’s Match Against Rennes Due to Injury
Tiémoué Bakayoko will not feature for AS Monaco this weekend as they face Rennes in the 33rd matchday of Ligue 1. Despite expectations that the midfielder would return to action, Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has decided to leave him out for a little longer.
Bakayoko, who has been recovering from a hamstring injury, is still not fully match-fit, according to Jardim. As a result, the 21-year-old will not be included in the matchday squad for the home fixture against Rennes.
In addition to Bakayoko, veteran midfielder Jérémy Toulalan is also sidelined, while Nabil Dirar and Geoffrey Kondogbia remain uncertain for the match, with both players facing late fitness tests.
Monaco will be hoping to secure a crucial win in their push for a Champions League spot, but their midfield will be missing key figures for this important encounter.
