Congolese club Sanga Balende has made history by qualifying for the Round of 16 of the CAF Champions League for the first time in their history, defeating Cameroonian side Coton Sport de Garoua in the process. The milestone marks a major achievement for the club, who are now poised to take on Sudanese giants Al Hilal in the next stage of the prestigious competition.

We will fight to go far and as far as possible in this competition. We want to honor the country by qualifying for the quarter-finals.”
Ngoy Kasanji credited the club’s success in the early rounds to the dedication of both the technical staff and the players. “We know that Al Hilal is a big club used to African competitions. We are mentally preparing to do the essentials for the first leg, scheduled for April 19 in Kinshasa, before meeting them at home in Khartoum,” he added.
