South African outfit Cape Town Spurs have announced the appointment Roger de Sa as their new technical director ahead of the 2025/26 football campaign.
Last season, Cape Town Spurs were relegated from the National First Division, prompting swift changes in the team in an attempt to return to the top-tier league.
However, the club has settled on Roger de Sa to spearhead the technical department of the club heading into the new season. He is expected to work with the first-team coaching staff to ensure the squad is optimally prepared.
Meanwhile, Roger de Sa’s primary mandate is to build a sustainable, high-performance structure aligned with the club’s ambitions.
De Sa was an assistant coach to Carlos Queiroz with the Egyptian and Iranian national teams. As a head coach, he worked with Ajax Cape Town, where he won MTN8 Cup in 2015/16 season and Orlando Pirates in 2012-2014.
With Queiroz, he won an Asian Cup in 2022/2023 season. Last season, he was an assistant of Diogo Peral in Cape Town City.
