In-demand Morocco forward Hamza Igamane edges closer to Lille move
Morocco international Hamza Igamane is on the verge of joining French Ligue 1 outfit Lille in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old attacker is expected to join Lille as a replacement for Canadian attacker Jonathan David, who recently departed the club at the expiration of his contract.
Igamane enjoyed an amazing season with Scottish giants Rangers FC, making 46 appearances across competitions, scoring 16 goals and delivering six assists.
The forward has been a subject of interest for clubs in England and France, but Lille have won the race to sign him this summer, who has £15 million price tag.
Following a prolong talks over a transfer fee, Lille is said to have come close to securing the signature of the talented forward this summer.
Meanwhile, Moroccan outfit FAR Rabat is set for a financial windfall amid Igamane’s imminent move to Lille. Having included a sell-on clause in his move to Rangers, the Moroccan club would be due to a cut of the transfer fee.
The forward earned his debut Morocco call up in March during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where he made his first appearances for the North African country.
