Zambian winger Ntazana Mayembe eyes january comeback amidst multiple offers

Ntazana Mayembe 1

Zambian winger Ntazana Mayembe, formerly associated with Cardiff City, has disclosed that he is considering a return to competitive football after a hiatus. The 20-year-old, capped twice by Zambia, shared that he has received enticing offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Egypt.

Mayembe, who spent eight years with Cardiff, including playing for the youth team, took a voluntary break from football at the age of 22 to explore opportunities beyond the realm of the sport.

During this time, he engaged in individual training to maintain his fitness and skill set.

“I took a break from football, but I’m ready to come back now. I am young and I know what I can do. I’ll be back,” affirmed Mayembe, expressing his eagerness for a return to the pitch.

Despite having trained with Welsh side Garw in September 2023, Mayembe clarified that no official signing had taken place.

Dismissing the reported association with Garw, he stated, “I was just training with them. I didn’t sign with them.”

The talented winger, optimistic about making a significant return to competitive football, aspires to re-enter the scene in January 2024.

During his hiatus, Mayembe has diligently pursued individual training sessions, demonstrating his commitment to regaining peak form and making a lasting impact on the pitch.

As January approaches, football enthusiasts eagerly await Mayembe’s comeback, while the winger navigates potential offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Egypt.

His decision will undoubtedly shape the next chapter of his footballing journey, adding an element of anticipation to the evolving narrative of Ntazana Mayembe’s career.
