Morocco international Azzedine Ounahi has turned down Spartak Moscow move despite Olympique Marseille agreeing a deal.
The midfielder spent last season on loan with Panathinaikos in Greece, where he got his career back on track. He scored five goals and provided seven assists in 37 appearances following a difficult 18-month period at Marseille.
Panathinaikos held an interest in retaining the player, who is also attracting interest from long-term admirers Brighton and Hove Albion.
However, it was Spartak Moscow, who moved to swoop for the enterprising midfielder after reaching an agreement with Marseille.
Despite agreeing a €12m transfer fee with Marseille, the talented midfielder has turned down the move.
The Moroccan is hesitant to make the move to the Russian club despite being offered €2.5m per year.
